In a recent comment letter to the U.S. Department of Treasury, the CFE Fund encouraged Treasury to focus on large-scale government program and payment opportunities to connect unbanked Americans to mainstream banking, outlining a range of promising “bankable moments” across the federal government. Through the Bank On movement, we’ve seen how partners can use government services streams like unemployment payments as an opportunity to get residents banked.
